SnapUpgrade is a Chrome extension for capturing and editing screenshots. This page describes what data is involved and how it is handled.

Summary

• SnapUpgrade does not make network requests.
• All capture, stitching, editing, and export run locally in your browser.
• Screenshots and annotations are not uploaded to any server operated by us.
• We do not collect accounts, analytics, or advertising identifiers.

Data the extension processes

When you capture a page or region, the extension may temporarily hold:

• Pixel data from the active tab (via Chrome’s capture APIs)
• Annotation and export settings you choose
• Preferences stored with chrome.storage.local on your device

This data stays on your device unless you explicitly save or copy a file (for example Download or Copy to clipboard).

Network activity

The extension is designed to perform no network requests for its core features. It does not phone home, sync captures to the cloud, or send telemetry.

Permissions

SnapUpgrade requests only the permissions needed for local capture and editing, including activeTab, scripting, offscreen, storage, contextMenus, and clipboardWrite. It does not request broad host access to every site by default.

Sharing and third parties

We do not sell or share screenshot data. There is no backend service receiving your captures as part of normal extension use.
